The Barking Brew Is a small independent award-winning dog groomers based in Aston Clinton.
Established in Feb 2021 by Emily we have since competed and placed in a variety of different competitions and resident shop dogs Hudson and Flynn have both had their debut on the green carpet which is CRUFTS.
We pride ourselves in the variety of services we have to offer from nail clipping to hand stripping and continue to take part in seminars and conferences to expand our knowledge and keep learning to give the best service we can.
Our Bespoke grooms are tailored to each pet. Grooming can be a stressful and unnatural experience for dogs and this is why we work with both the owner and the pets to find the correct grooming plan for your pet. We cater for all breeds, ages and sizes of dog and those with extra quirkiness will fit just in.

The Science behind Grooming
All dog’s hair goes through the 4 phases of the hair cycle, the cycle is varied between different breeds and ages. Grooming is focused on the hair cycle dogs like poodles will spend longer time in the anagen phase which means they need more grooming to prevent matting. On the other hand, dogs like huskies will have a shorter hair cycle meaning they “shed more” regular grooming can help remove coat in the exogen phase. All dogs ‘Shed’ but to the extent of their shedding is dependent on the breed and their coat type.
