Why can you not brush out the matts?Severe matting occurs when hair knots/felts together close to the skin, continuous brushing to try and remove the matts will be painful and unfair on the pet. The safest and kindest way to remove them is by using a blade which can safely get between the hair and the skin. In majority of cases this will be a short blade which will only leave a small amount of hair behind.
-
My pet has fleas can you still groom them?We can groom pets with fleas this does incur additional costs and will need to be arranged at the end of the day when there are no other dogs in the salon.
-
My dog is in season can you still groom her?We don’t groom dogs in season, there is a risk of infection when bathing dogs and we don’t believe it is fair on the dog to be put through a groom when in season we ask for you to reschedule your groom for when the dog is finished.
-
We never used to brush dogs teeth back in the day?Dogs diets have changed rapidly over the years, majority of dogs are on softer foods and kibbles compared to raw food and bones, this results in less natural cleaning of the teeth on harder substances like bone.
